Comments
When visitors leave comments on the site we collect the data shown in the comments form, and also the visitor’s IP address and browser user agent string to help spam detection.
An anonymized string created from your email address (also called a hash) may be provided to the Gravatar service to see if you are using it. The Gravatar service privacy policy is available here: https://automattic.com/privacy/. After approval of your comment, your profile picture is visible to the public in the context of your comment.

If you leave a comment on our site you may opt-in to saving your name, email address and website in cookies. These are for your convenience so that you do not have to fill in your details again when you leave another comment. These cookies will last for one year.

How long we retain your data

Accepted Submissions
Authors may withdraw their (accepted)submissions up to 48 hours before publication. Once published, we have exclusivity for six months, and then non-exclusivity indefinitely after that (in the event of works being included in a collected edition for example).
If the story is published elsewhere after six months, we will leave it at your own discretion whether or not you declare that it has been previously published with us.
Just to clarify with edits, these would just be line editing/cosmetic editing. We would not edit to change your story in any way and always keep the language written in the original variant (for example, we do not change American English to standard English).
In regards to promotional vouchers, these are issued at the discretion of Humour Me and the promotional offer may be withdrawn at any time.
For all successful submissions, a 30% discount voucher will be offered for use in the Humour Me online store. Each voucher will allow 5 separate uses in total and valid for 6 months from time of issue. The discount will be applicable to items only, not shipping costs.
For all rejected submissions (that follow submissions guidelines) a 10% discount voucher will be offered for use in the Humour Me online store.
