I can never think of a good way to start these things. So, in this instance, I’ve used a visual aid. Yes, that is my actual face and just some of the thoughts rattling around my head.

I’m currently putting together our Autumn/Fall issue, which will be coming out this coming Saturday (18th October). We have four very different, very funny stories that I can’t wait to share with you. We have also just opened up submissions for our Winter issue. This is a slight departure from our standard (and usually, very popular) Christmas issue. As the Autumn issue brought in a wider scope of stories than the usual Halloween call, we thought we’d follow suit with our final issue of the year.

As always, a huge thank you to every single writer who takes the time to share their words with us. The nature of submissions means that, sadly, some of you will be disappointed. I’d encourage everyone who gets a ‘no’ to keep going. Keep working on your craft, keep looking for places to submit to. You may have to take no for an answer far too many times than you’d like, but you don’t have to give up.
