Anthology Submissions
Be part of our first paperback anthology! We are looking for short stories that MUST begin with the following sentence:
‘There was nothing else to say. That was one exceptionally angry hedgehog.’
The rest is all up to you. Whatever genre, perspective or anything else is your choice. It just has to make us laugh.
Min word count :2000
Max Word count : 4000
We will accept submissions from 1st September up until 11.59 pm (GMT) 31st December 2026.
Estimated book release of late summer 2027, exact date TBC.
Send your submission as an attached word file. Please add in a short bio as a separate attachment or in the body of your email.
We will not except multiple submissions. Simultaneous submissions are fine, please just make us aware. We will not reply to any submissions that do not fit our criteria, so please read carefully before sending us your work.
We will pay £20 per accepted submission. Payment to be made via PayPal within 28 days of returning a signed contract.
We will also offer one 20% discount voucher for the final book and two 10% discount vouchers for each succesfull author.

CHUCKLES SHORTS
Chuckles short stories will be published on our website bi-weekly (depending on interest). You have free reign with these, so be as funny and creative as you like.

SUBMISSION GUIDLINES
We do not accept the use of AI in submissions. We’d rather read a poorly written human story than a cobbled together robot Frankenstein abomination.
We will not accept any works that we deem to be discriminatory or contain any bigotry of any sort.
We will not offer feedback to any rejected stories, so please don’t ask and make it awkward.
